Some more Bunting

 

As well as the Christmas bunting I have made "beach scene" bunting.  I have made a few variations on the theme.

 

As well I have lots of new Christmas bunting for the Arts Centre Market on Sunday.

 

 

And mini bunting as well.

Afternoon at the Gallery

 

 

Last week I went to Melbourne to collect some supplies.  I finished my shopping before lunch on a very rainy day.

It is not often that I have a day off so I went to the National Gallery of Victoria for the afternoon.

 

 

 

I was by myself and just wandered at my own pace.

Big Week of Sewing

The Arts Centre Market has been very busy for me this year. Last Sunday my big sales were bunting and sock yarn

This week I have been sewing bunting every day.

 

Customers want bunting for all occasions so I have a good mix of colours for tomorrow's market.

I know it is early for many of us but I have also been making Christmas bunting.

 

The bunting is approx. 3 metres.  I am planning to make shorter versions also.

 

Next week's work list is mostly spinning and weaving with some time for bunting.

Sock Yarns

 

Lots and lots of sock yarn dyeing.

 

You can find the yarn at Hawthorne Cottage.

 

 

The yarn is a 75% wool, 25% nylon blend.

400 metres and 100gm hank.

 

I found the eggs

 

The rooster and his girls stick together all day. After breakfast the day begins for these Light Sussex.

 

 

They venture far and wide during the day but always return in time for bed. I was getting rather impatient with the girls as eggs were few and far between.

 

But today I had a find.  The chooks are laying in an old dog kennel.  So I'll put some straw in the kennel to make it cosy for them.
