Where I left off...

This is the car Taffy has built.  I don't think he will ever say it is finished.

 

 

In reality it is almost finished.  I haven't been for a ride yet.  Maybe I'll wait until the weather is warmer!

 

 

Finishing the Day

Its been one of those days.  Just couldn't get anything started.  Just had too much to do.  I usually write a list but of course I didn't do that last night.

 

Eventually I did get some work done.  Quite a lot done really.

And the sky showed its wonderful colours this evening.

 

Taffy is out in the shed tinkering.  I will show you the car tomorrow.

Now its time to turn the dye pot off.

And get dinner.

Shelby

At the weekend a very cute puppy came to visit.  We did enjoy the family visit as well but Shelby really stole the show.  She was wanting to learn to drive Taffy's car but still a bit small to see over the steering wheel.

 

But the seat belts might just fit very soon.

 

And when I'm not in the car I'm very busy exploring.

And I tricked you as I'm sure you thought I was mostly all white. My feet get very dirty on the farm.

Christmas Day

We spent Christmas Day with family at our son and daughter in law's home.  Lunch was delicious and all the more enjoyable as I didn't have to cook.  I had cooked the pudding and Christmas cake.

A special treat was to see how Taffy's car is progressing.  The car is almost finished.  He is going to add stripes down the centre.  A few other adjustments and the car will be on the road. David has enjoyed working with Taffy on some weekends

My Car

My car is not new but it is the newest old car I have ever owned.

Today we are having words, serious words.

Car belonged to my son (son has moved on in the car dept).  Car came to me with a new engine and never has there been an ounce of trouble.  We speak kindly to each other when ever we go out together.

That is, except for today.  Today of all days.

So car your choice of day to stop was bad, bad, bad
Timing - You knew it was the worst time.
Place - So scary with a huge truck nibbling the tow bar.

And then you won't tell me what is wrong.  I am being asked all sorts of mechanical questions and you know I am a mechanical idiot.  And then 2 hours later after I have managed to get Japanese Farmstay students and large cases to airport bus by other means   -   you decide you will start and want to go home.

But car you haven't tricked me - Son knows more about you than he let on previously and some new parts are on their way.  And you need to behave if you want your photo on my blog!!
