Its the end of the week and I still have so much to finish.

This afternoon I have more yarn to dye, Felted hats to finish for the Arts Centre Market on Sunday and yarn to prep for dyeing.

Tomorrow will be a dyeing day.

Buttons

At the Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show I added to my button collection.   I use buttons on tea cosies and hats.   This week I'm working on some new tea cosies as well an order for 3 red hats.  The hats are finished except for the final detailing.  The red felt hat bands are finished and dry.  So lucky I live in a loft house where I can dry fleece etc.

This week with the cold weather has started a hat flurry.  I am knitting hats non stop.  Luckily I had dyed yarn earlier as I knew I need to up the hat stock.  As well I've dyed a few new colours and the yarn is hanging in the loft to dry.

Trips to the local.......

This week there have been a few trips to the local Post Office.  I managed to get all the orders finished and the 2 parcels off to the Alice Springs Beanie Festival. The Beanie Festival is for beanies and tea cosies.  Surprised with tea cosies at the beanie festival???  I sell quite a few beanies as hats.

Lots of rain here today.  Now the rain has eased I'm off to the studio to spin.  This morning I was working on tea cosies.

Weekend Markets

A busy weekend ahead with two markets.  Tomorrow is the Buninyong Farmers Market in the Buninyong Town Hall.  The car is packed.  Much easier to pack the day before and then I can enjoy a more relaxed breakfast before leaving for the market.

Certainly hat season.  I have made more felted hats this week as well as the chunky style berets.

I have 2 more hats to finish now and that's it for this week.  I have packed for the markets. 

Animals have been fed and put to bed.  The dogs are asking for dinner early in the cold weather.  Well I thought they were asking for dinner but there is a lot of barking outside so I had better go and find out what the noise is about. This morning I collected 2 eggs from my 3 chooks (chickens) so that is pleasing in winter.

Mothers Day Market at Arts Centre

The Arts Centre is always a busy place on Mothers Day.  The Mothers Day Classic run and walk takes place early and then the participants and families wander enjoying a coffee and browsing the market.

Weather is getting colder so I have been busy making hats and scarves.

Hats are happening

The season for hats is approaching.  Quite a few are in the construction pipeline.  Some new hats are finished.

This is a raspberry hat finished with a handmade felt band and a fabulous grey vintage button and a felt flower.

This hat is from the Tea Cosy hat range for this year.  So often customers would like a tea cosy as a hat and this year I'll have a much larger range than last year.

There weather is changing and hats are in demand.  Just a couple of new hats in the range.

Daylesford Makers Market is just a couple of days away. More hats have been finished and here are three of hats "with a touch of raspberry "

Easter Hats at Daylesford

Easter Saturday I'll be at the Makers Market in Daylesford new hats.

This one is a rich purple with a guinea fowl feather dyed to match. SOLD

And a black hat with a wool and silk felt hat band finished with a rose.

And a blend of old gold and purple.
