Wooden Apple Revisited

I have received a few questions about this wooden apple which I have written about previously on this blog.  I have been unable to find any history to share with you.  The bottom of the apple has a crack as you can see but no identifying markings.  The apple would be at least 65 years old.  My mother went to the Blue Mountains for her honeymoon.  She did a lot of shopping!!   Maybe she bought this then.  I'll show you a couple of other of her kitchen items in another blog.

An Apple a Day......

As long as I can remember this wooden apple has been in our family.  The apple is a string container and lived on the shelf near the stove when we lived on the farm.  I loved pulling the string and would pull and rewind often.
Now I have the apple in my kitchen.  No history about the beginnings of this apple. No label or markings are anywhere to be found. My Aunt Bee turned 90 last week so I'll take the apple with me when I next visit her.  Maybe she can give me the history.
