Cold Spell

Hurtle our cat helping me in the loft.  The loft is always so warm and cosy.  And the puppy can't get up the stairs....yet!!!

And these ladies are laying eggs.  Just as well I say.

We are in the middle of a really cold weather front.  Tonight we are expecting snow but it hardly ever happens.

And if you want to read an interesting blog about a walking tour with great photos go and have a look at http://apiecefullife.blogspot.com.au/

More of the Farmyard

Our ducks are growing.  Guess they are teenagers now. They are still a bit flighty so I can't get a photo of them swimming in their bright blue clam shell swimming pool.

Hurtle likes to visit the chooks, ducks and sheep on his morning walk.  I noticed today one on the chooks chasing him.  Hurtle seemed most offended.

Hurtle....the kitten

Hurtle ready to pounce

Meet Hurtle our new kitten. Well he belongs to Brie but this week the care and training is being provided by David and I. This morning Hurtle had found some of Brie’s yarn. It is now in a terrible tangle. I have hid it in a box – from both Hurtle and Brie. Think Brie reads this blog so that’s the end of Hurtle’s secret.

Hurtle is the most entertaining animal. Eventually he will spend time outside and sleep in the shed with our other cat Maude. Now Maude has done nothing but ignore Hurtle or hiss through the window. Still some work to be done in that department.
