The Creek

Our farm is small, just 15 acres.  We  have a creek running through the main paddock.
With the recent rain the creek is flowing. Hawthorn trees grow along the edge

Dinner Time

A certain  bantam is out of the yard.

She knows just where to get back in the yard.

Now we need to get into a group and work out the pecking order

The English Leicesters like to help but this willow tree is just too tasty.
And we just stand in the corner to be annoying

Christmas Day

We spent Christmas Day with family at our son and daughter in law's home.  Lunch was delicious and all the more enjoyable as I didn't have to cook.  I had cooked the pudding and Christmas cake.

A special treat was to see how Taffy's car is progressing.  The car is almost finished.  He is going to add stripes down the centre.  A few other adjustments and the car will be on the road. David has enjoyed working with Taffy on some weekends

A Grey Day

A grey wet day after the heat. A spider has been busy outside our front door.
The trees are growing.  I am so disappointed that my quince trees have lost a lot of their fruit this year.  Hot winds seem to have been the problem.  The trees look really healthy and have been watered. The lack of fruit happens every few years and this must be the year.

I'm off to do some weaving after dyeing yarn for the Sunday Arts Centre Market.
