Making

Lots of new stock is being produced this week after a very busy market last Sunday.
As I had guessed customers are looking for small gifts to post overseas.

More egg cosies are nearly finished.  And I should have another 4 pairs of mittens. Tonight I'm off to Ravelry.  I'll be knitting a Christmas ornament for my "Christmas Ornament" swap organised by Louise on Caithness podcast.

Scarf Week

Last Sunday I sold out of scarves so this week has been a scarf production week. Black and white mix  is always popular.  And I have sold this scarf  so will make another black and white version.

A mix of greys, white and a touch of black.

And I have started on some colourful scarves as well.

One of Those Rainy Days

                                                        Looking south from the loft.

Today I'm working in the loft. So cosy and warn up here. I've been preparing yarn for dyeing and now I'm knitting one of the many orders that have come in. Orders appear as soon as the weather changes and the mornings are cold..

Slow Week

Have dyed some yarn..

And knitted one hat and started another.

My knee and I had an argument last weekend and I have spent the week on crutches.  This has certainly slowed me down.  As I'm spending a lot of time on the couch I thought I would knit a hat involving colourwork.  The yarns hopefully won't get tangled.

A Winter's Afternoon

This afternoon I enjoyed the warmth in the loft and knitted.  With lots of orders I have a busy week of knitting and spinning.  I usually work in the studio but as no one was home today and the slow combustion stove was heating the house the loft was the place to be with my knitting, a cuppa and Country Living.  On the needles I have a scarf in Chunky Carnival, a beret in natural brown and a headband in cream which will be finished with a black flower

New Knitting Purses

These are the new products in my online shop http://www.hawthornecottage.com.au/page.php?base=7 They have been made for me by Missy Mao Mao http://missymaomao.blogspot.com/

The fabric is an Aunty Cookie knitting theme. The purses are red vinyl on the back and are lined. The square purse is for circular needles and will hold one of HC's 15mm circular needles and keep it under control.

I'm definitely having a set of these for myself when I get more stock. Thanks Missy Mao Mao
