When I have the time I like to bake our bread. This loaf was delicious. I used mostly spelt flour.
A blog about farm life, spinning, my yarn dyeing, weaving and markets. I live with my husband on a small farm near Ballarat. I have sheep, mostly English Leicester as well as dogs, ducks, chooks and a cat.

More Frosts
We have continued frosty mornings throughout August.
The sheep never forget to arrive in the same spot each morning for hay.
This one always has food on its face.
Some of the sheep are quite old now but still doing really well. The sheep are shorn in summer as they need a good fleece to keep them warm in winter.

Lots of Chunky
Busy times here spinning lots of chunky yarn.
And dyeing the yarn.
And waiting for the yarn to dry
Some yarn has been listed on Etsy
And some yarn is for the Arts Centre Market in Melbourne
This yarn is spun using English Leicester from my sheep.

Frosty Mornings
We have new neighbours in the paddock across our gravel road. There is a third cow but she wasn't in the mood for a photograph today.
I really like to have cows in the neighbouring paddock. Over time they become very friendly and come to the gate for a chat.
Most mornings at present are very cold and frosty.
The sheep are turning up for breakfast covered in frost.
Fibre Arts finished on Monday night. I had a most enjoyable week. Now I'm replenishing stock for the market and Etsy. Today I'm listing on Etsy.
